This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you use our mobile application and services (the "Platform"), and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

1. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information to provide and improve our Platform for you:

Information You Provide Directly

Account Data: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and password.
Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information such as a profile picture, bio, specializations (for coaches), years of experience, and initial weight and height.
Progress Data: We collect data you voluntarily track, such as your weight history (user_weight_history) and progress photos (user_progress_photos). This data is private by default and only shared with your explicit consent.
Activity Data: We record the routines you complete (user_routine_completion) to track your progress in the plans.
Communications: We store the messages you exchange with your coaches through our in-app messaging platform (messages).
Payment Information: We do not directly store your credit card details. Payments are processed securely by our third-party provider, Stripe. We only store information related to your subscription, such as its status and your Stripe Customer ID (stripe_customer_id).
Preferences: We save your app settings, such as your preference for receiving email notifications (email_notification) and your data sharing preferences with coaches (user_coach_sharing_preferences).

Information We Collect Automatically

Usage Data: We may collect information on how you access and use the Platform, such as the features you use and the time you spend in the app, to help us improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes:

To provide and maintain our Platform.
To manage your account, plans, and subscriptions.
To connect users with coaches.
To allow coaches to track user progress (only with your explicit, granular consent).
To process subscription payments through Stripe.
To communicate with you, including sending notifications about new messages or important updates, if you have opted-in.
To improve and personalize the experience on the Platform.
To ensure security and prevent fraud.

3. How We Share Your Information

Your privacy is a priority. We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information in the following circumstances:

With Coaches (With Your Consent): You are in complete control of your sensitive progress data. Through the "Data Sharing Preferences" page, you can explicitly grant specific coaches permission to view your weight history and/or progress photos. By default, this data is not shared. The completion status of your routines within a specific plan is visible to the coach of that plan to allow for proper guidance.
With Service Providers: We use third-party companies to operate our Platform, including Supabase (backend and database), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email notifications). These providers only have access to the information necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it.
For Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Security of Your Data

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. Access to your personal data is limited to those employees or service providers who have a business need to know.

Depending on your location, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. These may include the right to:

Access, update, or delete the information we have on you.
Object to or restrict the processing of your personal data.
Withdraw your consent at any time.
